Feeling Victorious she opened the door of the meeting room, her ideas were appreciated today and she felt her contribution mattered.

She felt successful and filled with pride she walked through the office corridor with a smile she couldn’t wipe away from her face.

Hope no one noticed it yet.

She sat down at her list and started making a list of all the things she would buy after she received that bonus for her idea, well most of these she needed.

Last time that made colleague of hers had got a nice promotion for his thoughts were just given the same applause as hers, well actually slightly leaser than hers.

She waited a few more days, she was getting a bit uncomfortable now as thus didn’t take so long with him.

Next day she came to the office letting go of her doubts and the gossip she had heard in the lunch room about some other him getting the bonus, as she knew her proposals were better, everyone had encouraged her to participate more in that meeting.

The rumours weren’t completely true, she did get something, however 70% less, Gender Inequality had shown it’s ugly head.

She needed this job so she kept quite, like others had and vowed not to contribute as much again.
